Our Culture

Built on values.
Rooted in community.

Culture at Your Policy isn't a slide deck or a wall poster. It's four principles we actually use to make decisions — and a genuine commitment to showing up for the communities we're part of.

Our Mission

Why we exist.

Modernize the insurance industry by helping people find the right insurance with less hassle and more happiness.

Core Values

Four principles. No exceptions.

These shape who we hire, how we coach, and how we decide what's worth doing. They're not aspirational — they're operational.

01

People Come First

Every decision starts with the people on the other end — clients, teammates, partners, community. If a process is efficient for the company but frustrating for people, the process loses. We design around human beings, not the other way around.

02

Do What You Love

The best work happens when people are doing what they're built for. We hire for fit, coach for growth, and clear out the noise that gets between people and the work that matters. Life is too short to spend it doing something you don't care about.

03

Balance Is Key

Careers are long. Burning people out is not a strategy — it's a failure mode. We protect the time that makes everything else possible: family, rest, community, life outside of work. A sustainable team is a better team.

04

Always Deliver What You Promise

Insurance is fundamentally a promise. When a client buys a policy, they're trusting that the coverage will be there when they need it most. We take that seriously — for clients, for partners, and for each other. If we said we'd do it, we do it.

We're not just in these communities. We're part of them.

Every Your Policy office operates in the community it serves — often under the same name neighbors have known for years. That local presence isn't just a business model. It's a commitment to showing up for the people around us, not just the clients in front of us.

Community Involvement

How we give back.

Insurance is about protection. Our offices extend that idea beyond policies — supporting local organizations, showing up to volunteer, and investing in the places we call home.

Community Sponsorships

Our offices sponsor local events, youth athletics, schools, civic organizations, and causes that matter to the communities they serve. Every office sets its own giving priorities — because what matters in Blue Earth, MN is different from what matters in Dallas, TX.

  • Youth sports leagues and school programs
  • Local chamber and civic events
  • Community fundraisers and awareness campaigns
  • Neighborhood improvement initiatives

Volunteer Days

We give our team dedicated time to volunteer — not just a suggestion, but scheduled days where the office closes and shows up somewhere that needs us. Hands-on, in-person, present. Because writing a check and showing up are different things.

  • Food banks and hunger relief organizations
  • Habitat for Humanity and housing initiatives
  • Senior care and elder support programs
  • Environmental cleanup and beautification projects

Community Events

From client appreciation events to local festivals and educational workshops, our offices are active participants in community life — not just businesses operating inside it. We host, we attend, and we connect.

  • Client appreciation and community open houses
  • Insurance literacy and financial education workshops
  • Local festival and fair participation
  • Networking events supporting local small businesses
How We Work Together

The principles behind the culture.

These are the day-to-day behaviors that bring the core values to life.

We assume good intent.

When something goes sideways, we start with curiosity — not blame. Everyone is doing their best with the information they have.

We communicate directly.

No triangulation, no passive aggressiveness. If there's a problem, we name it and solve it. Feedback is a gift.

We hire people we trust.

We don't micromanage. We hire people whose judgment we respect and give them the space to use it.

We protect each other's time.

Unnecessary meetings, excessive process, and busy work are cultural expenses. We keep things lean so people can do real work.

We celebrate quietly and often.

We don't make a big production of wins, but we don't ignore them either. Recognition is personal, specific, and genuine.

We grow from the inside out.

Whenever possible, we promote from within and support careers that evolve over time — not just roles that fill a seat.

Sound like a place you'd belong?

We're always looking for people who share these values — whether or not there's a specific role posted today.
